Creating a website is easier than you think, whether you're a blogger, coder, photographer, or aspiring entrepreneur. Platforms like WordPress, Blogger, and Wix allow you to build your site without any coding knowledge in just minutes. However, one limitation is that your site typically runs on a custom domain provided by the platform, such as example.wordpress.com or example.wix.com. Here is detailed process where you can apply for the free .com.np domain and use it for free.

Register Your Domain

    First, go to the official website of Nepal's official .np Domain Registration

    create account on register.com.np

    Create an account in the domain registration section by filling out a form with your name, email, and password.
  3.  
    Domain Status Check

    Sign in to your account and check domain availability. The domain name should be related to your name in national documents.
  4. If your desired domain is available, you'll see a message like "Congratulations! YourDomain.com.np is available. Click 'Register now' for further process."
  5. Nameservers update

    Make note of the Name server section, which is required for your host provider to show your website on search engines. Leave it blank for now.

Host Your Website for Free with Netlify

Netlify offers free hosting for your .com.np website:

  1. Step 1 Create a Netlify account. You can use your email or GitHub account to sign up.

Complete the Registration Process

Final steps to activate your .com.np domain:

  1. Return to Nepal's official .np Domain Registration website.
    Update the Nameservers From Netlify

  2.   Enter the nameservers you obtained from Netlify into the relevant section.
  3.   Provide your personal information, including your name, address, email, and phone number.
  4.   Write a cover letter and upload identity documents like citizenship or passports. Ensure the file size is smaller than 200kb. You can easily create your cover letter Here
  5.   Save the cover letter and identity documents. Now your submission will be added in the queue. You can see it in the dashboard.

  6. It usually takes 2-5 working days to activate your account.
  7.   Once the process is complete, your website will be registered with the .com.np domain and hosted for free on Netlify.

    8. Now You have your personal domain with .com.np. You can use free templates provided by the netlify and edit according to your need or you can put your website made with any language in the github and build it from netlify.
